President of The AA, Edmund King OBE, will be discussing the issues relating to the transition to EV charging as well as the association’s own insights and data at the upcoming Transport + Energy Forum 2025.
The news follows September’s webinar on the issue of the ‘Bridge to EVs’, where AA fleet director Duncan Webb was joined by Charlie Cook, CEO and Founder, Rightcharge, and Paul Ford, Chief Development Officer, Zest to discuss the transition.
In the webinar, the three attendees, alongside Transport + Energy content manager James Evison, discussed the various ways that fleets could ‘bridge’ the transition to electric vehicles.
It detailed how to develop carbon emission reduction strategies, including different fuel types and more economical driving patterns.
The webinar also looked to the future and the transition to decarbonised transport, including how issues such as depot and public charging will impact the agenda.
In addition, it looked at issues around charging cost and reimbursement, and the overall national transition to EVs.
Edmund King will be on a panel at the Transport + Energy Forum 2025, titled Making a commitment to certainty: actions needed to deliver the future for decarbonisation, which will also feature Martin Hale, Managing Director, Qwello; Sarah Clements, Head of Business Development, Trojan Energy; Charlie Cook, CEO and Founder, Rightcharge.
The Forum’s packed agenda focuses on interaction and networking, with a combination of panel discussions, fireside chats, in-conversation insights and a roundtable addressing issues faced by local authorities as they navigate decarbonisation for their regions.
It will also examine how the sectors must now move from commitment to certainty through presentation and discussion from government, OEMs, local authorities, trade bodies, sponsors, regulators and operators.
