She became a household name as Blue Peter’s longest-serving female presenter, with an impressive 11-year run from 1997 to 2008. Since then, she’s brought her charm and energy to a range of popular shows including The Xtra Factor, Guinness World Records Smashed and King of the Nerds, and more recently fronted Undercover Education on Channel 4.

A naturally curious and thoughtful interviewer, Konnie has had the honour of speaking with some remarkable individuals – from giving J.K. Rowling her first ever
interview, to hosting the first live televised mayoral debate between Ken Livingstone and Boris Johnson, and interviewing Malala and Ziauddin Yousafzai at Central Hall Westminster.

Konnie’s passion for learning shines through in her work. With a degree in economics from Cambridge, she brings genuine insight to current affairs and cultural conversations. She’s fronted acclaimed documentaries for BBC Radio 4, BBC Asian Network (earning a Sony Award), and BBC Three, and she’s hosted a range of thought-provoking podcasts, including the Penguin Podcast, Switch Off for BBC Sounds, and Thinking Out Loud for Acast.

As an author, Konnie has penned three hugely popular children’s books – the Cookie series, inspired by her own London Bangladeshi upbringing and her love of

Behind the scenes, Konnie is also an accomplished screenwriter, co-writing on the second series of the award-winning Channel 4 hit Black Mirror. She’s also no stranger to acting, with appearances in shows such as Mandy, Invasion, Good Omens, A Touch of Cloth and The Sarah Jane Adventures. A passionate advocate for education, science
