Dr Isabella Panovic is a Programme Manager at Innovate UK, managing the delivery of the UK Government’s £200m Zero Emission HGV & Infrastructure Demonstrator (ZEHID) programme. The programme is the UK’s key intervention towards decarbonising heavy duty road freight, aiming to increase HGV operator confidence and government understanding of various zero emission HGV technologies and their infrastructure requirements.
Prior to joining the Land & Maritime Transport team at Innovate UK, Isabella has worked in R&D policy for several years to support development of other net zero technologies, such as offshore renewables and decarbonising heating and cooling. Isabella also completed a PhD at the University of St Andrews in Scotland, focussing on biorefineries and the chemistry of biomass.
