Edmund King is AA president and is a Trustee and Director of the AA Charitable Trust for Road Safety and the Environment.
He is also a Visiting Professor of Transport at Newcastle University and a member of the Council for Net Zero Transport, convened by Zemo Partnership.
He has written several reports on transport and often appears as a transport commentator on radio, television and podcasts.
He was awarded an OBE for ‘services to road safety’ in the 2016 Queen’s New Year Honours.
In 2020 he was inducted into PR Week’s ‘Hall of Fame’ and has won PR Week’s Best Public Affairs Campaign and PRCA Best Automotive Campaign for work on ‘smart’motorways.
He is an EV advocate and has been driving EVs for more than twenty years. He is also an adviser to BBC’s Children in Need.
