Be.EV joins Zap-Pay
EV charging network Be.EV has become the latest operator to go live on payment system Zap-Pay.
Be.EV, a community-first public charging network, operates one of the largest network of public EV chargers in Greater Manchester. It is working to open “Charging Greens” across the UK in sites ideally located to serve local communities.
The company currently operates more than 700 charge points at around 180 locations across England and Wales, with the majority concentrated in and around Greater Manchester. As part of a nationwide expansion plan, Be.EV is on track to have a network of more than 1,000 charge points by the end of 2024.
Be.EV already shared a live data partnership with Zapmap, meaning users of the Zapmap app can see live status updates on Be.EV twenty-four seven.
The charge point operator joins live payment partners Osprey, ESB Energy, char.gy, GeniePoint, Mer, MFG EV Power, Fastned, Alfa Power, Connected Kerb, evyve, Charge My Street, Applegreen Electric and FOR EV.
Drivers using Zap-Pay are also able to view their charging history, receive live status updates while away from their vehicle, and download receipts.To facilitate easy payment, they can also use both Apple Pay and Google Pay.
