Be.EV partners with Octopus Energy’s Electroverse

Electric vehicle charge network Be.EV has joined forces with Octopus Energy’s Electroverse network to bring its ultra-rapid chargers to thousands of new drivers.

Already backed to the tune of £110 million by Octopus Energy Generation and powered by 100% renewable energy from Octopus Energy, the deal is the next step in the companies’ relationship.

Octopus Electroverse allows EV drivers to find and pay for charge sessions via a single Electroverse app and card, at thousands of chargers nationwide. All with zero added costs or on-going fees. Be.EV members can already use their  Be.EV membership (RFID) card or app for preferential rates when charging with Be.EV.

The partnership coincides with the national rollout of Be.EV chargers – making EV charging across the UK and beyond easier and more accessible to all. Be.EV is working to install 1,000 further charge points across the North of England and beyond by 2024, connecting communities with impressive reliability (99.6% operational availability across the entire network).

Be.EV are also among the first to implement cutting-edge Kempower technology in the UK that feature unique load balancing abilities. Kempower chargers can intelligently distribute energy supply between vehicles according to capacity and demand – meaning if one car reaches the maximum amount of power on one charger, any residual energy supply can be reassigned to another vehicle connected on-site.

Asif Ghafoor, Be.EV’s CEO and co-founder said: “This is a fantastic partnership as it provides simplicity and visibility for all current and future EV drivers. Things that join up and smooth out the customer experience can only be beneficial for everyone.”
