Ultra-rapid electric vehicle charging network Source, which is backed by SSE and TotalEnergies, has launched Source Rewards.
Built with PowerGoodies, the programme gives drivers points every time they charge, exchangeable for vouchers from Tesco, Costa Coffee, Asda, Uber, JD Sports and dozens of other retailers.
Every kWh charged at a Source hub earns two points, worth roughly a £5 voucher for every 15 charging sessions. New members can add up to 2,000 points, around £10 in vouchers, on their first day alone, including a 1,000-point bonus for their first charge – plus smaller bonuses for verifying an email address, adding a mobile number and linking a charging card.
Referring a friend earns both people 250 points once the new member completes their first session.
Members download the free PowerGoodies app, link the charging card they already use at Source – either a SourceConnect RFID card or a roaming partner card – and start earning automatically with no change to how they charge.
Points can be redeemed for vouchers spanning supermarkets, fashion, food and days out. Members can link up to 10 charging cards to one account, so a whole household can build points together.
