GRIDSERVE is accelerating its Electric Freightway network with four more electric Heavy Good Vehicles (eHGV) charging hubs.
The newly confirmed locations at Moto Knutsford North, Moto Medway East, Markham Vale and Stevenage Electric Forecourts, will extend dedicated ultra-rapid charging provision for electric freight into the North West, East Midlands and South East of England.
Positioned at key motorway service areas, the new hubs will be designed with dedicated bays, signage, and superfast charging.
The announcement follows the launch of the Electric Freightway’s first public eHGV hubs at Moto Exeter and Extra Baldock Services. Alongside the newly announced locations, five eHGV hubs are also under construction at Tamworth, Thurrock, Leeds, Chester and Strensham North.
It comes as the UK Government is preparing a new regulatory framework that supports the phasing out of new non-zero emission HGVs weighing up to and including 26 tonnes by 2035 and non-zero emission HGVs by 2040.
