The voice of EV charging, ChargeUK, has welcomed new members from across the sector, including Nayax, Peblar, and HDM Energies.
Global payments provider Nayax, who is joining as an associate member, is an FCA regulated payments provider and supplier of payments terminals. It has also produced its own EV charge points with embedded payment terminals aimed at off-street car parks and micro charge point operators. It has also developed its own Charge Point Management System (CPMS) and recently acquired Lynkwell CPMS.
Peblar is a Dutch manufacturer of AC chargers for residential, workplace and fleet customers recently launched in the UK market. It is offering high quality, easy to install and cybersecure charging solution to new customers in the UK and Ireland.
HDM Energies delivers zero upfront cost solar and battery solutions for businesses, funded through fixed price Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) spanning 10 to 25 years, with EV charging integrated through a revenue-share model. HDM Energies plans to deploy 2.5GW of behind the meter rooftop solar across commercial properties within the next three years.
Vicky Read, chief executive, ChargeUK said:
“Our membership operates over two thirds of the UK’s public charge points, but there is a whole ecosystem of different businesses beyond the public charge point operators who are helping drive the transition.
“ChargeUK represents the whole charging ecosystem and these new members demonstrate that perfectly – companies looking to provide high quality payments, cybersecure AC charging and reduced energy costs through renewables. We are excited to welcome Nayax, Peblar and HDM Energies on board.”
Dave Roberts, Managing Director, HDM Energies said:
“We are delighted to be joining ChargeUK and look forward to collaborating with fellow members, sharing insights and supporting the sector with access to discounted renewable electricity.
“By working together, we believe this vital industry can continue to grow, delivering real benefits for the environment, the economy and communities across the UK.”
Andy Knight, Sales Director at Nayax added:
“Joining ChargeUK reflects our long-term commitment to the UK’s EV charging ecosystem. At Nayax, we believe EV charging should be a commercially viable, accessible opportunity for small and medium-sized businesses – not a complex technical project reserved for specialists.
“By removing friction at the point of payment and delivering smooth, open, card-based experiences for EV drivers with our Tap & Charge technology, we’re helping to make EV charging easier to deploy, easier to use, and ultimately more sustainable as the UK moves towards net zero.”
Jean-Pierre Lihou, National Commercial Director, Peblar UK said:
“We’re thrilled to be members of ChargeUK and look forward to contributing to the clean energy transition with our range of municipal, workplace and residential chargers designed and built in Eindhoven, The Netherlands.”
