UK EV charge point manufacturer VCHRGD Technologies has confirmed its chargers are now directly integrated with Octopus Energy’s Intelligent Octopus Go tariff.

The move gives EV drivers access to charging rates as low as £0.07/kWh, making VCHRGD one of the most affordable EV chargers directly integrated with the Intelligent Octopus Go tariff, it claimed, and creates “fresh opportunities for fleet operators, retail wholesalers and installers to offer VCHRGD chargers”.

VCHRGD launched in 2021, creating a position in the market “founded on a strong reputation for customer service, charger reliability, and sustainability”, it claims.

The firm has 97% of customer reviews rated five stars and a “strong commitment to reliability with just 0.54% of chargers requiring return for replacement”, it added.

Octopus Energy’s Intelligent Octopus Go automatically schedules charging for the cheapest, greenest periods, helping customers save money while reducing demand on the grid.

Alex Watson, Founder and Technical Director at VCHRGD Technologies Ltd, said:

“Our integration with Intelligent Octopus Go is another step in making EV charging smarter, affordable, and more accessible.

“For fleet operators, resellers and installers, it’s a fantastic opportunity, and we’ve already seen that energy integrations can significantly benefit business, customers and boost sales opportunities in this space. By working with Octopus, we’re further strengthening our proposition, giving our partners a further edge in their market.”
