Arnold Clark Charge is now the largest ultra-rapid EV charging network in Scotland, the network has claimed.
Launched in 2024 as part of a £30 million investment by Arnold Clark, the car retailer’s Arnold Clark Charge network now has more than 50 ultra-rapid charging hubs at Arnold Clark branches across the country – all open to the public.
Each hub offers up to 12 ultra-rapid chargers, delivering speeds of up to 150kW and enabling drivers to top up quickly and get back on the road.
As part of its nationwide roll-out, the group is expanding into key locations across the UK to support both long-distance EV travel and local communities.
Drivers benefit from ultra-rapid charging available at 55p/kWh, which is lower than the UK average of 76p/kWh. Payments can be made through the Arnold Clark app, roaming partners or via contactless at all charging hubs.
In Zapmap’s annual survey of 4,000 UK EV drivers, the network earned high ratings across all five key metrics, including the highest score of any network for customer support.
Zapmap also praised its competitive pricing, reliability and ease of use.
Pablo Levi, Group Sustainability Manager at Arnold Clark, said:
“With Arnold Clark Charge, our aim is to give drivers quick, reliable and affordable charging wherever they travel.
“Becoming Scotland’s largest ultra-rapid network in such a short time is a milestone we’re incredibly proud of – and we’re only just getting started.
“We’ll continue expanding into key locations and listening to customer feedback to deliver the best possible charging experience.”
