Transport + Energy would like to thank all of our readers, delegates, attendees, sponsors and supporters for 2025 as we continue to accelerate our journey towards net zero energy and transport.

It has been another blockbuster year for the two sectors, with numerous policies and programmes accelerating the journey to decarbonisation, and also continuing uncertainty in the political space around the direction of travel – although there have been some assurances as well.

Growth has included the ZEV Mandate, multi-billion pound investment in the energy sector, and the public EV charging network growing to more than 87,000.

The recent news from the EU on weakening its 2035 zero-emission target, and the UK Conservative Party proposing plans to axe the ZEV Mandate, shows that policy certainty is still needed for the sectors.

This year has also be one of rapid growth for Transport + Energy with our new Fleet Electrification Forum in the summer and our flagship Forum in November.

In addition, we have launched our ‘Explains’ series with webinars featuring industry leaders including Zapmap, The AA, Fastned, GRIDSERVE, Rightcharge and Zest, with more to come in the new year and further developments.

It was also the year that we launched two reports: our Delivery Plan, which was presented to chair of the Energy and Net Zero Committee, Bill Esterson, and also our Fleet Electrification Manifesto

2026 is now looking like a critical year for the sectors, and T+E has a number of new content and proposals to announce in the new year.

We look forward to continuing to support the transport and energy sectors as the industry continues its journey to decarbonisation.
