EV charging payment platform Rightcharge has announced a partnership with sustainable mobility solutions firm Cord Power Technologies.

The collaboration provides UK fleet managers with enhanced options for managing employee home charging, streamlining reimbursements and ensuring accurate cost tracking.

The integration complements Rightcharge’s existing ecosystem of charger, energy supplier, and vehicle connections.

It will allow fleets and drivers to have an additional hardware option, ensuring reliable reimbursement data is captured directly from a smart charger.

Cord’s chargers include dual Wi-Fi and 4G connectivity as standard on premium models such as Cord Zero. This enables real-time data transmission for accurate usage tracking and reimbursement reporting, even in areas with unreliable Wi-Fi.

In addition, the products have solar and home battery readiness and 7.4kW charging with extended warranties, with installation within two weeks.

The integration assists Rightcharge users by enabling them fleet managers to install Cord chargers, knowing charging data will feed directly into the unified Rightcharge dashboard, alongside public and workplace charging.

Drivers are helped by eliminating manual expense claims and inaccurate mileage-based reports, as Rightcharge’s system uses the precise data from the Cord charger to automatically reimburse the driver, through direct payments to their home energy supplier.

The hardware-software integration also provides a foundation for more advanced energy management in the future, such as optimising charging based on time-of-use tariffs or home solar generation.

Paul Tomlinson, Co-Founder of Cord Power Technologies, said:

“Fleet managers need to scale their EV programmes without creating administrative nightmares.

“Our partnership with Rightcharge directly addresses this. We provide a reliable, always-on smart charger; Rightcharge provides seamless payment automation.

“Together, we’re removing the friction from home charging, making it simple for businesses to support their drivers and track costs with precision.”

Charlie Cook, CEO of Rightcharge, said:

“We are always pushing for a more resilient and driver-friendly ecosystem, and hardware is a critical piece of that puzzle.

“Partnering with Cord adds a premium, reliable charger to our platform. Their focus on connectivity, with features like dual 4G and Wi-Fi, ensures that data is always captured accurately. This is the foundation of our automated reimbursement promise. It gives fleet managers more choice and total confidence that their drivers’ home charging is tracked back perfectly.”

“This partnership expands our ecosystem, giving fleets more flexibility in home charging while upholding our commitment to seamless management of EV charging payments.

“Together with Cord, we’re making fleet EV adoption simpler and more cost-effective for businesses nationwide.”

Charlie Cook, CEO of Rightcharge will be talking at the Transport + Energy Forum next week. Find out more about the event here.
