Transport + Energy has announced speakers for this year’s Forum event on 20 November at Warwick Conferences, focusing on the core topic of moving from commitment to certainty.

The stellar line-up of speakers includes Dr Andy Palmer, Vicky Edmonds from EVA England, Edmund King OBE of The AA, Chris Hammond of UK100, Russell Fowler from National Highways, Alexandra Howe from the Energy Networks Association and Vicky Read from ChargeUK.

In addition, there are CPOs, EV infrastructure and mobility companies including Zest, Qwello, Trojan Energy, Motability Operations and Fastned. Representatives from the Energy Systems Catapult will also present as well as Southwark Council, who will be explaining their own EV journey.

The packed agenda will feature 16 sessions, including presentations, TED style talks, panel discussions and networking to ensure variety and inspiration and to maximise collaboration opportunities.

In the evening there will be the annual T+E Awards ceremony and black-tie dinner, and the following morning there will be an exclusive roundtable workshop for local council officers on inclusive and on-street charging.

Attendees will include industry professionals from a wide range of organisations, including government decision makers, local authorities, consultancies, construction and engineering companies, transport planners, vehicle manufacturers and technology innovators.

The Forum has a special focus for delegates from local authorities, who can apply for fully funded places. Of particular interest will be sessions on Southwark’s journey, accessible and on-street charging infrastructure, insight on collaborating with charge point operators, plus the EV grid challenge.

Sponsors of the event include char.gy, Fastned, Zest, Trojan Energy, Qwello, The AA and AFRY. Ohme is our breakfast workshop sponsor and Motability Operations is an event partner.

Alec Peachey, Transport + Energy Editorial Director, commented:

“This year’s flagship Forum follows our successful Fleet Electrification Forum in the summer, and will see us discuss the transport and energy sectors moving from commitment to certainty.

“As we approach 2030 and the carbon targets for transport and energy, such as the ZEV Mandate and the clean energy agenda, it is crucial that plans are locked in – with certainty.

“The Forum will be a vital opportunity to come together and discuss the ways that this is happening and the good work being done to ensure that such goals are met.

“We are delighted to have the support of our sponsors as well as some excellent speakers from their senior strategic team.”
