AA Business Services (AABS) is showcasing the latest EV additions to its roadside recovery fleet.

The company is showcasing three electric recovery vehicles at the CV Show this week, as it continues on its decarbonisation journey.

It comes as the AA will be attending the Transport + Energy Fleet Electrification Forum in July at Warwick Conferences, with Fleet Director Duncan Webb speaking at the event, where it is also a gold sponsor.

The AABS team is currently showcasing one of the UK’s first electric recovery truck – the Volvo EV Recovery FE ‘slidebed’ Truck; the IVECO e-Daily EV Recovery van with CRT trailer; and the brand-new EV van, the Farizon SV, wrapped in AA livery.

The AA’s recovery fleet has been developed in collaboration with customers and suppliers with each vehicle part of a ‘test and scale’ concept fleet.

It is at the heart of the AA’s commitment to decarbonise its operations without “compromising on the quality and performance of its roadside services”, it said.

Duncan Webb, Fleet Director at the AA, said:

“All our new EV recovery vehicles are truly cutting edge and have won the Iveco Innovation award and contributed to us winning the “What Van” Green Innovation award.

“Always ahead, we have invested in comprehensive and innovative services to support EVs through our fully EV trained roadside patrols, mobile mechanics and garage network.

“As we expand our pioneering mobile mechanics service in 2025, we will be adding more and more EV vans to our fleet.”
