UK ultra-rapid electric vehicle (EV) charging firm InstaVolt has announced a new partnership with energy firm OVO.

The collaboration links InstaVolt’s network of nearly 2,000 rapid chargers to OVO’s public charging solution, Charge Anywhere.

Using the OVO Charge app, EV drivers can locate and pay for charging sessions on InstaVolt’s network, getting discounted rates through Charge Anywhere’s Boost plans. The app provides live availability of public chargers, including InstaVolt points, enabling drivers to plan journeys.

Customers on Charge Anywhere Boost plans receive 15% savings on pay-as-you-go rates, further lowering the cost of sustainable driving.

InstaVolt opened its latest Superhub in March at Winchester, a 44-bay facility with on-site solar panels, battery storage systems, and powered by renewable energy. The site also features a Starbucks café and marks the chargepoint operator’s first location with a dedicated food and beverage outlet.

The company plans to increase its network to 11,000 chargers in the UK and Ireland by 2030.

Simon Smith, Chief Commercial Officer at InstaVolt, said:

“We are thrilled to partner with OVO on Charge Anywhere.

“At InstaVolt, we are always looking to collaborate with forward-thinking organisations that share our vision for an electrified future. This partnership with OVO is part of a broader collaboration, where OVO will utilise our network of chargers to encourage drivers to use the OVO Charge app and benefit from a better public charging experience.

“By working with us, OVO is supporting EV drivers with a seamless charging experience. It’s a win-win—benefiting businesses, customers, and the wider push towards sustainable transport.”
