T+E has announced the launch of a brand-new forum event, focusing on decarbonisation of fleets across the public and private sectors.
The Fleet Electrification Forum follows the format of the established and respected Transport + Energy Forum in November each year, with qualifying public sector attendees able to take advantage of fully funded places.
The inaugural Fleet Electrification Forum event will unite transport and energy professionals to help accelerate decarbonisation of fleets across both the public and private sectors
Taking place at Warwick Conferences on 9 July, the event will host a diverse agenda to facilitate learning, networking and shared experiences. Sessions will feature table networking sessions, TED style talks, panel discussions, audience interaction, networking breaks and FEF Marketplace, which will include leading suppliers with a proven track record of helping operators with their electrification strategies.
Commenting on the launch, Alec Peachey, founder and editorial director of the Transport + Energy brand said:
“We have realised for a while that there was an opportunity to provide an event for fleet professionals, to help them with accelerating decarbonisation. Our event is unique in its format, as we will be offering fully funded places to attendees from the public sector who have specific responsibility for fleet decarbonisation projects. We will be tackling the ‘what’ and ‘how’, setting out the breadth of the challenges faced and focusing on actionable and collaborative solutions.”
Supporters for the event confirmed so far include: REA, BVRLA, Cenex, ChargeUK, Energy Saving Trust, FairCharge, EVA England, Climate Group, and FORS.
The full agenda and speaker line up is still under wraps and will be announced soon. Speakers already confirmed include Faizan Ahmad, Decarbonisation Programme Director at First Bus; Chris Demetriou, Assistant Director of Corporate Fleet, Transport & Accessible Community Transport at the London Borough of Islington; James Brown, Senior Fleet Consultant (LCV/HGV) at Energy Saving Trust; Tim Campbell, Managing Director at Campbells Consultancy; Claire Miller, Founder of Tellegen.
“We are really excited to launch this brand-new event, which provides fleet professionals with a real opportunity to get to grips with their decarbonisation strategies. We have been blown away by the support from the sector and we are confident that we will deliver another great forum for the transport and energy sectors this July,” concluded Peachey.
