UK electric vehicle (EV) charging manufacturer Indra has announced a new agreement for EV charge points with one of the largest housebuilders in Britain, Persimmon Homes.

The deal will see Indra’s Smart PRO Untethered EV chargers supplied to Persimmon and Charles Church homes. It is also the latest move by the housebuilder to enhance its proposition, following government regulations requiring all new homes and buildings in England to be fitted with EV charging points.

One of the fastest chargers on the market, the Smart PRO can charge 60kWh in under 9 hours and comes with features, including solar compatibility, access to Indra’s app, and a lock function preventing unauthorised access to a charger.

Its smart home chargers also work with a wide range of electricity tariffs, including the most popular EV tariffs, such as OVO Charge Anytime and Octopus Energy’s Octopus GO.

Simon Tate, Vice President of Sales at Indra, said:

“We are excited to partner with Persimmon Homes to bring our state-of-the-art charging technology to homes across the UK.

“We are excited to partner with Persimmon Homes to bring our cutting-edge charging technology to homes across the UK. This partnership highlights our shared commitment to a sustainable future by making energy management smarter, greener, and more accessible. As the EV market grows, we’re proud to support homeowners with next-generation charging solutions that are advanced, future-proof, and aligned with the evolving needs of domestic energy use.”

Kieren Hanlon, Group Procurement Director at Persimmon Homes, added:

“We are delighted to sign an agreement with Indra for the supply of their Smart PRO EV Charger, this supports our strategy of building sustainable homes that meet the future needs of our customers”
