PoGo partners again with Formula Space

Ultra-rapid charge point operator PoGo Charge has partnered electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure design and build firm Formula Space on a hub in the Southwest of England.

The site, situated off the M5 at Junction 24, Bridgwater, is its largest to-date with 10 ultra-rapid charging points each, capable of up to 200kW of power for EV drivers.

The equipment comprises PoGo’s 32-inch Touch technology that simplifies the charging process with clear instructions and a range of easy payment options.

Since the brand launched in 2023, the two organisations have worked closely together on more than 100 sites, with PoGo’s ChargeSafe accredited in-house design team having developed a design standard for new sites, for which Formula Space advises further on the accessibility and safety.

Its ongoing relationship allows for continuous improvement, innovation, and adaptation of EV site design in response to industry developments and user needs.

The newly opened hub was built with easy access to the charging points, and to PAS 1899:2022 standard and ChargeSafe rating. The site is well-lit with clear wayfinding signage, safety bollards, bold bay marking, charger branding and a totem designed by Formula Space to guide drivers quickly and safely to a charging bay.

Stuart Douglas, Managing Director of PoGo Charge, said:

“The new site perfectly exemplifies the continued diligence from both our design team and our long-standing partnership with Formula Space to create the best digital and practical experience.

“Together, we’re delivering cutting-edge charging solutions that prioritise safety, efficiency, and convenience for every driver.”

Vern Pollard, Director of Formula Space, said:

“Bringing the PoGo brand to life at charging sites is about more than just aesthetics; it’s about ensuring that every driver can safely and easily access charging infrastructure.

“By focusing on accessibility and safety as key measures, we’ve worked with the PoGo team to create a site that not only looks great but also provides a seamless experience for all EV drivers. This partnership highlights the importance of combining visual communication with functionality to deliver a truly user-centric space.”
