On the move: Jo Kerr to head up InstaVolt’s marketing function

In a round-up of sector appointments, InstaVolt has appointed Jo Kerr as Group Marketing Director, while Lauren Pamma has joined the Board of Directors at EVA England. Jesper Terkelsen joins EV charging platform Monta as the company’s new Chief Technology Officer (CTO) while Paul Brennan comes in as new board Chair at EV charge point management software company Fuuse.

InstaVolt

InstaVolt, one of Europe’s largest rapid EV charging networks, has strengthened its senior leadership team with Jo Kerr appointed as Group Marketing Director.

Jo joins InstaVolt from Cinch.  As Brand Director, she engaged presenter Rylan Clark to help drive the company to become the UK’s fastest growing direct to consumer online car buying brand.

Previously, she was Managing Partner at worldwide creative agency Iris, responsible for the Shell account globally.

During her 25 years’ experience in senior leadership roles in marketing, Jo has worked with a range of brands including Barclays, Motorola, Vodafone, GSK, Alcon and HP.

On joining InstaVolt, Jo said: “I am delighted to have joined the team at such a pivotal time for EVs and public charging. Without doubt we’re at the tipping point of EVs becoming the norm and I want to make sure that InstaVolt is the first name consumers think about when it comes to charging their cars on the go.”

Monta

EV charging platform, Monta, has appointed Jesper Terkelsen as the company’s new Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

This strategic move comes as Monta continues to scale its operations and drive innovation in the rapidly evolving electric vehicle (EV) ecosystem.

Jesper Terkelsen succeeds co-founder Casper Rasmussen, who has served as both CEO and CTO since the company’s inception. He will now dedicate his efforts exclusively to his role as CEO, steering Monta’s growth and expansion.

Jesper was serving as Vice-President of engineering at Monta.

On his new appointment, he said: “I’m thrilled to become Monta’s CTO at such a key moment of the company’s journey following our last fundraising. Having worked previously in a SaaS company that grew fast and expanded globally. I feel I’m in a good position to contribute to Monta’s success at the stage the company is. Scaling up both the product and the organisation is an ambitious challenge just the way I like it.

“The EV sector is burgeoning, and there’s an immense opportunity to develop software that maximises the potential of electrification. I’m proud to keep building this with such an amazing team.

EVA England

EVA England has announced the appointment of Lauren Pamma to its Board of Directors, following on from her recent appointment as Head of Energy and Infrastructure at Aldermore Bank.

Lauren has extensive experience leading on, and developing, decarbonisation policy. Between 2020 and 2024, she led the Green Finance Institute’s Coalition for the Decarbonisation of Transport, which focused on developing new financial products and solutions to help accelerate the decarbonisation of transport. In June 2024, Lauren joined Aldermore Bank to establish and lead a new Energy & Infrastructure team, dedicated to the energy and infrastructure renewables financing sector.

In response to her appointment, Lauren commented: “EVA England has been representing the views of EV drivers for many years and has fast become an integral voice in the transition to zero-emission vehicles. I’m delighted to be joining the EVA England board at a time when EV drivers really need a collective voice to ease the transition for all.”

Fuuse

Fuuse, a leading innovator in EV charge point management software, is pleased to announce the appointment of Paul Brennan as its new board Chair. With over 20 years experience as Chairman and Non-Executive Director of multiple venture and private equity-backed businesses in Europe and the US, Paul brings a wealth of expertise and a proven track record of success to Fuuse.

Brennan’s career began with a successful tenure at IBM, where he held roles in sales and engineering. As the CEO of Metamerge, he led the company through a successful trade sale to IBM. Over the past two decades, Brennan has chaired numerous companies, completing twenty-five funding rounds, seven acquisitions, and nine exits.

His appointment marks a significant milestone for Fuuse. Last week the company announced it had raised £8.7m in new funding to accelerate its growth, and Brennan’s experience will play an important role in Fuuse’s mission to revolutionise the EV charging experience through innovative software and service solutions.

“I am excited to join Fuuse at such a pivotal time in the company’s growth,” said Paul. “Fuuse has demonstrated remarkable innovation and leadership in the EV charging sector, and I look forward to working with the talented team to further advance our mission and capitalise on the tremendous opportunities ahead.”
