Transport + Energy Awards: the winners are revealed

Transport + Energy’s inaugural awards celebrated the most innovative product, tech and collaboration in a celebration of two sectors who are forging partnerships to meet the net zero challenge.

The four awards were presented by comedian Marc Hogan during the evening dinner which followed the Transport + Energy Forum, a packed agenda attracting over 200 delegates, which included 30 speakers over 18 sessions.

Winner of the best product or new technology was 3ti for their Papilio3 mini solar car park and EV charging hub, which the judges commended for being easy to deliver and install without need for extensive civils work, with an added recycling element.

The second award was presented Coventry City Council for best local authority charging scheme. The judges thought that the EV Infrastructure Network was very technically advanced and the project scored consistently highly across all judging criteria.

Next to be presented was the award for best EV charging network. The winner was Osprey Charging Network, awarded for their rounded, comprehensive approach to their innovative network.

The final award was for best collaborative partnership, which recognises a co-operation between charge point operators and partners, including local councils, energy networks and energy companies. The winners were ev.energy and Motability Operations for their Motability Smart EV Charging partnership. The judges were impressed with this collaboration as it offered carbon savings as well as cost savings, making EVs more attractive and affordable, improving accessibility which reaches out to a community which should not be left behind.

Alec Peachey, Editorial Director of Transport + Energy, commented: “The first Transport + Energy Awards were a huge success! We are so grateful to everyone who entered, sponsored and attended. We’d also like to thank our judging panel, who were diligent in their scrutiny of the entries. We plan to build on this success, in conjunction with both sectors, to deliver a bigger event which recognises and rewards excellence and achievement across the industry.”
