GRIDSERVE “picks up the pace”, CEO tells forum
GRIDSERVE’s CEO, Toddington Harper, has made a keynote speech at this year’s Climate Innovation Forum in London, explaining the firm’s progress to date.
Harper spoke alongside other key figures including Chris Skidmore MP, chair of the UK government’s Net Zero review, London Mayor Sadiq Kahn, and HRH King Charles III.
Harper shared insights on developing a platform to deliver clean energy at speed and scale, and GRIDSERVE’s Electric Forecourts and hybrid solar farms, which have formed a key part of UK charging infrastructure and the decarbonising transportation, providing drivers the confidence to go electric.
Harper also took part in a roundtable with the King, the Mayor of London and other key figures to discuss collaboration and innovation to meet climate goals.
The Climate Innovation Forum took place on 28 June at Guildhall, London and brought together influential leaders on how to achieve net-zero. A climate clock was activated by Mayor of London, Sadiq Kahn, and the King, to warn the world that we have just six years and 24 days to limit global warming to 1.5C.
Toddington Harper said: “GRIDSERVE’s participation in the Climate Innovation Forum underscores the company’s commitment to sustainable development, driving positive change and contributing to the global effort to move the needle on climate change.
”The growth of our EV charging network, the GRIDSERVE Electric Highway, has picked up pace in the last 12 months, as we have now delivered over 200 High Power chargers across the UK and by the end of next month, over 50 sites will be in construction.
“By generating sustainable energy from the sun to power zero tailpipe emission electric vehicles, we can make a real difference to limiting global warming to 1.5 degrees.”
