SWARCO extends range of chargers

SWARCO Smart Charging has launched four new EV charging solutions for UK businesses and consumers.

The products, called SWARCO Swift, SWARCO Drive, SWARCO Stina and SWARCO Stina Duo will extend the current range for fleet operators and workplace managers.

SWARCO Swift provides a charge of between 1.4kW and 22kW, with a design resistant to bad weather. It features an interchangeable charging module allowing single, dual, socketed, tethered or mixed connector options that can be replaced in less than two minutes.

The SWARCO Drive is an AC charging station with a single base-piece and interchangeable charging heads that can be installed and running within 15 minutes, the firm claims. The unit delivers either 7.4kW or 22kW. The 4.7m Type2 charging cable also fits all standard sockets for use at public charge points.

Aimed at places where space is limited, the SWARCO Stina and Stina Duo wall boxes deliver a charge of between 1.4kW and 22kW. The former is a single socket charging device while the Stina Duo is the dual socketed version. They also feature a Type2 socket for connectors.

All four devices can be connected to WiFi and the SWARCO eConnect app. SWARCO Drive can be accessed remotely using a dedicated mobile app, where charging sessions can be scheduled and monitored, and power output adjusted, and authorisation settings allow for off-peak and delayed start options.

The new devices are also equipped with an RFID card reader, an OLED display, and an intelligent load balancing system to split power dynamically between multiple units in a chain, so the total charging power does not exceed overall output from the grid.

Anne Buckingham, Sales Director at SWARCO Smart Charging, said: “We are very excited to be launching these products and in particular SWARCO Drive which complements other chargers in the portfolio to give fleet managers a holistic solution for drivers to charge at work or at home.

“The solutions we choose are not only visually and aesthetically pleasing but also help customers in both the public sector and private sector electrify their fleet or decarbonise their roads, and contribute to their sustainability goals.”
