A Gridserve forecourt in Norwich has powered more than two million EV miles in its first year.

The energy from its forecourt at Broadland Gate Business Park, adjacent to the A47, has seen some 36 EV chargers, including 22 350kW-capable high power chargers, powering enough vehicles to travel around the world 80 times.

The news comes as the uptake in EV registrations in the Norfolk area has grown by almost 50% – ahead of the UK average and illustrating the need for public charging infrastructure to encourage adoption, the firm claimed.
