Following the success of last month’s Transport + Energy Forum, the date for the next event has been announced – Thursday 16th November 2023 at Birmingham Conference and Events Centre.

To kickstart the planning for 2023, we asked our 2022 attendees to review the format, speakers and content.

General feedback amongst our 130 attendees was very positive, with the overall event rated at an average 9.0 (out of 10), along with a score of 9.0 for the quality of the speakers and content. The format of a day conference and evening event was preferred by 68% of the respondents.

“I liked that you had both private and public sector together in the room to listen to each other’s successes and problem areas.”

“Well organised, good mix of speakers and broad insight across the electrification sector. The evening speaker was entertaining and I enjoyed the evening meal as it allowed for more informal networking.”

“The general atmosphere at the event encouraged debate, both in the direct conference proceedings and in the networking opportunities.”

With 68% of the audience interested in attending future events, there were some insightful suggestions for the next Forum:

  • Fleet: HGV and van charging networks, decarbonisation strategies, hydrogen, real world experiences, products and services
  • Infrastructure providers: focus on their work, challenge manufacturers to collaborate to support the transition
  • Innovation: what’s coming next into the sector
  • LEVI funding: update on stage reached
  • International: focus on European and US markets
  • EVs: supply challenges

Many attendees told us they would prefer more networking opportunities within the agenda, along with table discussions and opportunities to address questions to all speakers.

Another respondent would like us to focus on the audience:

“I think it is good to have a platform for people to bring challenges to the audience even just to highlight and get the room thinking.”

We would like to thank everyone for their feedback, it has certainly got us thinking!

The next Transport + Energy Forum will take place on 16th November 2023 at Birmingham Conference and Events Centre. To register your interest go to https://transportandenergy.com/te-forum-event/
