Forecourt charging giant EV Power joins Zap-Map network

Zap-Map has added forecourt giant Motor Fuel Group’s EV Power brand to its ever-expanding vehicle charging network.

The agreement means fleet drivers can find and pay for charging at 230 EV Power facilities using the Zap-Map app and the Allstar One Electric Card.

Allstar Business Solutions joined forces with single-payment app Zap-Map earlier this year to offer customers a more streamlined experience.

Now Motor Fuel Group’s EV Power brand has been added to the available options for app users, joining providers such as Osprey Charging and ESB Energy.

Launched last year, EV Power was recently rated joint-first in Zap-Map’s annual charging network rankings.

The brand, which is aiming to install 3,000 ultra-rapid devices by 2031, is generally seen on petrol station forecourts. Motor Fuel Group operates more than 900 sites under the BP, Shell, Esso, Texaco, JET and Murco monikers.

Zap-Map head of partnerships Harrison Brook said he wasthrilled” to welcome EV Power to the firm’s network.

“Not only does Motor Fuel Group have cutting-edge technology, it is extremely highly rated by Zap-Map users,” he said.

Allstar Business Solutions managing director for global EV solutions Tom Rowlands said it was “critical” that customers had access to a wide power network.

“By deepening our relationship with Motor Fuel Group and Zap-Map, we’re further demonstrating Allstar’s commitment to providing best-in-class electric vehicle solutions to the UK’s businesses,” he added.

Motor Fuel Group operations director Martin Symes said the deal “supports our strategy in providing an easy-access network”.

“Working in collaboration with our partners in this way is key to delivering customer confidence and improving their experience in the transition to electric vehicles,” he said.
