Transport + Energy Forum highlights video released

The highlights video from this year’s Transport + Energy Forum has now been released.

The inaugural event connected over 130 transport and energy leaders with policymakers, industry groups, NGOs, the supply chain, networks, regulators, the highways sector, tech disruptors, automotive manufacturers, local authorities, customer groups, plus other stakeholders tasked with the job of fully decarbonising our transport and energy systems.

The event took place at the Birmingham Conference & Events Centre on 17th November 2022 and featured an overarching theme of ‘Taking action to decarbonise now’.

The Forum opened with a high-level keynote speech from Katie Black, Joint Head of Office for Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV) on how government and businesses can accelerate the transition to clean transport and energy. It also included three interactive panel debates focused on the key challenges and solutions, educational presentations, networking opportunities and an informal dinner.

Attendees visited a tabletop exhibition, creating the space to form new connections and cross-sector collaborations. The conversations continued over an evening reception with delegates given the opportunity to cement relationships and opportunities for collaboration that could have a lasting impact. Ben Owen, British Intelligence Officer and TV Hunter delivered an entertaining and thought provoking after dinner speech.

Council spaces were fully funded, including meals and accommodation.
