EIS launch for UK’s first zero emissions delivery firm

Green 2 Delivery, an innovative business which aims to be the UK’s first zero emissions nationwide home delivery company, has announced the launch of its EIS fund.

The company intends to raise up to £7,500,000 to build out its logistics network and fleet of fully electric vans and HGV lorries, offering up to 15% of the company’s shares.

The first £5,000,000 raised will qualify under the EIS rules and enjoy all the generous tax benefits available with that scheme.

Green 2 has already proven its concept by completing the Great British EV Rally, a 1,200 mile fully electric journey across the British Isles from Royal House, Castle & Gardens of Mey at the northern tip of Scotland all the way to Lands’ End in the south, in two electric vans.

Lee Sibley (pictured left), Co-Founder and Green 2 Delivery’s Chief Operating Officer, said: “Transportation accounted for 24.4% or nearly a quarter of the UK’s total CO2 emissions, with heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) producing 18.8% of it, so I want to disrupt the status quo of our unsustainable logistics industry with our clean, green vision of the future!”

Jason Atkins (pictured right), Green 2 Delivery’s Co-Founder and CEO, added: “It’s not just CO2 that’s the problem, transportation is Britain’s most polluting sector and it’s time something was done about it. Lee and I knew we couldn’t just stand by and wait for the technology to develop further, we felt we had to solve this urgent problem with what’s available now, and our business plan will achieve just that: a completely sustainable delivery network based entirely on green and renewable energy.”

The company, which already enjoys turnover of £3,500,000 a year and is highly rated on Trustpilot with 4.7 out of 5 stars by 1,343 reviews, is converting its fleet of vehicles to 100% electric with zero emissions by the end of 2023.
