British SMEs to showcase their expertise at Los Angeles ITS Congress
Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) will be given an opportunity to highlight their expertise at the Intelligent Transport Systems World Congress in Los Angeles next month thanks to a unique partnership of leading supporters of UK transport technology.
The British Pavilion, hosted by Innovate UK and the Department of International Trade in the US is being supported by the Transport Technology Forum, Local Council Roads Innovation Group (LCRIG) and ITS (UK).
The ten organisations are Aurrigo, Conigital, Dynamon, Gaist, ITO World, Innovation Factory, Nicander, one.network, Valerann, Westcotec and Zenzic. The organisations are represented on the stand at the event from 18-22 September where the world’s ITS practitioners meet under the theme “Transformation by Transportation”. It’s the 28th in-person event, with more than ten thousand delegates meeting for five days of discussions and four days of exhibition and demonstrations.
Being on the UK Pavilion offers the organisations a cost-effective way to participate which gives them the chance to make connections and network with peers from around the world, find potential business partners and meet industry experts. They will also get to see leading smart mobility solutions, and may also take part in the conference giving them an opportunity to learn about the latest ITS technologies and implementations.
Members of the Department for Transport will also be participating on the UK Pavilion stand. The UK-focused news website Highways News will be producing daily podcasts, sponsored by SWARCO, GEWI and Nota AI, plus regular news stories from the event, with a focus on the UK contingent taking part. As part of the deal for people taking part on the stand, all of them will be featured on the podcasts if they wish.
There is extremely limited space left on the stand if other organisations wish to take part. They should email gill.butcher@lcrig.org.uk with an expression of interest by Friday 19th August. The stand cost is £2,250 + VAT this year for a booth with a screen for SMEs to promote their company. Other benefits include an entry in the stand brochure, a fully managed stand and participation in the Consulate on-stand reception.
