VolkerSmart Technologies sponsor CIHT EV Charging Seminar

VolkerSmart Technologies, one of the UK’s leading installers and maintainers of electric vehicle (EV) chargers, recently sponsored the CIHT Technical Seminar on the future of EV charging technology.

The seminar, which was held at the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation office in London, as well as digitally, was a one-day event focusing on the growth of EV charging and solutions for coming needs.

The event was attended by over 70 specialists from the EV industry as well as key decision makers. Overall, seven industry experts spoke at the event including Peter Brown, Senior Policy Advisor from the Office for Zero Emission Vehicles and Roisin Naughton, Principal City Planner for Transport for London.

The event not only offered attendees a greater insight in to EV charging points infrastructure, but also provided the opportunity to discuss the most recent updates from the government and industry. Additionally, attendees were able to take part in interactive workshops and get their voices heard on this important topic.

Bob Pizzey, business development director, VolkerSmart, said: “I was delighted to be invited to speak at this inspirational seminar. As the demand for EV charging points continues to surge, the event gives attendees and speakers the opportunity to discuss what must be done to develop an EV charging infrastructure that works for all.”

Daniel Isichei, CIHT, said: “It was great to be able to hold a successful hybrid event with a great mix of online and in-person attendees. The speakers provided us with a fascinating insight into the future for EV charging technology. For CIHT, this event and the content discussed will help us shape the future for highways, transportation and infrastructure.”
