Connected Kerb receives international award for new product innovation

Connected Kerb, one of the UK’s leading providers of electric vehicle charging infrastructure solutions, has won a prestigious international award for new product innovation.

Research and consultancy firm, Frost and Sullivan, awarded the Soho-based company the 2022 European New Product Innovation Award for the development of its charging points, which met and exceeded a number of stringent award criteria from matching customer need and performance value to quality and design.

Frost & Sullivan commended Connected Kerb for designing its products to be “cost-effective and reliable” while “the ability to upgrade the chargers shows forward planning… and is one of the reasons councils across the UK select Connected Kerb as a charging partner”.

The company was also praised for the quality of its customer service, which resolves 85% of enquiries over the phone, assisted by its remote repair function.

Judges also expressed admiration for their products’ environmental credentials, smart features and data collection capabilities which “deliver added value for customers…beyond simply offering charger units”.

They singled out the Agile Streets project, the first public smart charging trial in the UK, which allows the company to “position itself as a leader in customer value”.

Chris Pateman-Jones, CEO of Connected Kerb, said: “We are delighted that Frost & Sullivan have selected us as winners of this award, which is testimony to the hard work and innovation of our team.

“Our aim is to deliver affordable, sustainable and accessible electric vehicle charging for all, regardless of social status, location or physical ability. I am pleased that this award recognises our efforts in this area and hope that we can continue to deliver the national network of long-lasting EV infrastructure that the UK needs to help meet its net zero objectives.”
