ENA confirms dates for ENIC conference

The Energy Networks Association (ENA) has confirmed the dates of this year’s Energy Networks Innovation Conference (ENIC), which will have a focus on innovation and new technologies like electric vehicles.

This year’s conference is a free, interactive virtual conference to be held on 12th – 15th October and registration will open later in the year.

ENIC, run by the ENA, is the UK’s flagship knowledge dissemination event for the electricity and gas energy network operators. The ENA is a trade body that represents the UK and Ireland’s energy networks.

Taking place just weeks before the 26th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26), organisers say ENIC is a ‘must attend’ event for anyone involved in managing, developing or delivering innovations that will pave the way for a net zero future supported by gas and electricity networks.

According to the ENA, innovation is the foundation on which our net zero future will be built, enabling a smarter and more flexible energy system and new technologies like electric vehicles, while also supporting markets for storage and hydrogen.

David Smith, Chief Executive of Energy Networks Association, said: “As we look to hit our net zero targets, keeping a relentless focus on innovation in the gas and electricity networks has never been more important. Attracting delegates from around the world, this year’s event is shaping up to be one of the best and I encourage everyone with an interest to join us. Look out for registration opening later this year.”
