A new discussion programme has been created for the virtual Transport Technology Forum next month.

The virtual content for the Forum, which Transport and Energy is a media parter for, will be instead of the traditional face-to-face dinner, which will be hosted by the TTF communications lead, Paul Hutton.

It will include a hour-long audio streaming informal and “off the wall” discussion about transport.

Speaking about the event, TTF manager at the Department for Transport, Darren Capes, said the radio-style show had been preferred to a Zoom meeting as they were “keen to avoid people having to look at screens” – as we currently do in day-time work roles. Capes hopes the show will be “funny and informative”.

Alongside Hutton, who has broadcast journalism experience, will be TTF adviser and independent consultant Andy Graham.

TV technology legend Michael Rodd will be a guest on the Wednesday evening (3 March) – older listeners will remember him from Tomorrow’s World.

The conference takes place over three days – 3-5 March.
